ABOUT OUR PRESCHOOL

Little Sprouts Preschool is a self-funded, Christian based preschool.  It is our goal to prepare your children, both socially and academically, for their Kindergarten education.  We want our preschool children to learn early fundamentals in a fun, and nurturing atmosphere.  We offer two different programs at Little Sprouts Preschool:

1. Our Little Learner’s program meets Tuesday and Thursday morning 9-11:15am, and the cost is $130.00 per month. It is designed for children ages 3-4 years old. All children must be 3 years of age by September 1^st and be fully potty trained. We focus on fine and gross motor skills, numbers 1-10, basic shapes, colors, and the alphabet (writing, recognition, letter sound). Children learn skills such as cutting, staying in one’s seat, raising hand, taking turns, playing cooperatively with peers, and developing friendships.  We are a Christian based preschool and incorporate many Bible lessons and stories. We focus on patience and kindness, as we teach students in a nurturing environment.
2. Our Pre-K program meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9-1:15pm, and the cost is $195.00 per month.  It is designed for children ages 4-5 years old.  All children must be 4 years of age by September 1^st and be fully potty trained.  Our curriculum is designed to prepare your child for their Kindergarten education.  We focus on fine and gross motor skills, playing cooperatively with peers, and developing friendships.  We emphasize recognition of the alphabet, both upper and lower case, writing, and letter sounds.  Students are introduced to sight words, and simple reading materials.  Students will also begin learning Math concepts such as patterns, shapes, sorting, and counting 1-20.  We also do many STEM activities throughout the year to help children learn in a hands-on, exciting environment.  It is our goal to instill an understanding in each child that they are loved by God, and we incorporate many Bible lessons/stories throughout our curriculum.  Students are provided with a snack each day and will bring a packed lunch to school as well as a water bottle. 

Registration and enrollment for the 2025-26 school year will open Monday, January 13th, 2025 for currently enrolled students, and then Monday, January 20th, 2025 for new preschool families.  If you wish to fill out a registration application, please click the button at the top of the page, entitled “FORMS.” This document can either be dropped off directly at the church in the small mailbox attached outside of our preschool entrance doors at Grace United Methodist Church, 135 Decker Dr., New Castle, PA 16105, or put directly in your child's folder. We will accept applications until both classes have been filled to maximum capacity.  We will then begin a waitlist, and applicants will be notified in the order of application received if a spot would become available.
